Take what you need. Leave what you can.
The Community Pantry & Book Swap is a small, shared space at Your Care Hub — free food and books for anyone in the community who could use them. No referrals, no eligibility, no cost. Just turn up.
How it works
Simple, shared and free
The pantry and book swap runs on a simple idea: if you have something to spare, leave it; if you need something, take it. You don't need a referral, a concession card or an appointment — just walk in during opening hours.
Take what you need
Help yourself to non-perishable food or a book. No cost, no questions, no judgement.
Leave what you can
Drop off non-perishable food or books you no longer need so others can use them.
One book per visit
So there's always plenty to go around. Come back as often as you like.
Donations
Give a little if you can
Donations of non-perishable food and books keep the shelves stocked for everyone. You're welcome to drop things off during office hours — Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm — at 2–6 Edward Street, Caboolture.
- Non-perishable food only — tinned, dried and packaged goods.
- Books in good, readable condition.
- No expired or opened food, please.
Why we started it
Community connection is at the heart of everything we do. A pantry and book swap is a small, practical way to look out for each other — sharing what we have and making sure nobody goes without a meal or a good story. It's open to everyone, whether or not you're an NDIS participant.
